A respected name in Nadaun’s local manufacturing scene, Chaman Lal has been operating Chaman Sheet Metal Works, a factory specializing in steel almirahs, trunks, and other essential metal products. With years of experience and craftsmanship, Chaman’s products have been a staple in households and small businesses in the surrounding region.
However, despite his strong offline presence and reputation, the business lacked a digital footprint, restricting its visibility and market expansion beyond nearby villages. Without online branding or customer outreach tools, growth was limited.
At the RAMP Boot Camp, organized by HPCED, Startup Himachal, and SkillLabs, Chaman Lal was guided on how to expand digitally. A Google My Business profile was created to help him reach more customers online, showcase his products, and appear in local search results. Additionally, he was introduced to Khatabook, a simple but powerful financial management tool that helps small businesses keep accurate digital records of transactions.
