Jagdambike Gainda Fool – Cultivating Nature, Growing Visibility

Business Owner:  Sushil Saini

Address: Village Bharmoti, Near Ambey Gas Plant, Nadaun, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh

Business Story

Sushil Saini, a dedicated farmer from Bharmoti village in Nadaun, is passionate about cultivating Gainda Fool (Marigold flowers) and fresh, organically grown vegetables. While his produce was of excellent quality, his business suffered from minimal visibility beyond the nearby areas. Interestingly, his potential was discovered when a small roadside board advertising Genda Fool caught the attention of the team heading to a RAMP Boot Camp.

Recognizing the potential in Sushil’s vision, HPCED, Startup Himachal, and SkillLabs stepped in during the RAMP Boot Camp to empower him with digital tools. We provided him with a Google My Business listing to help potential customers locate his farm, view products, and engage with him directly. His business presence was enhanced with proper product catalogs, photos, and location directions. Sushil also learned how to read and respond to customer reviews—helping him build trust and authenticity.

To support the financial side of his venture, he was introduced to Khatabook, an easy-to-use tool to maintain and track his business transactions efficiently.

As a direct result of this intervention, his customer base has expanded, more people are finding his products online, and he has started receiving increased orders and visits from new customers.
