Sun Shine Art – Crafting a Greener Tomorrow

Business Owner: Santosh Kumari

Address: Radha Swami Mohalla, Sujanpur-Tira Road, Sujanpur Tira, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh

Business Story

Santosh Kumari, a passionate artisan from Sujanpur Tira, found her calling in the beauty and utility of bamboo — one of nature’s most versatile materials. After receiving training in bamboo craft, she began creating unique handmade items such as bamboo temples, pen stands, and other decorative pieces under her venture Sun Shine Art.

Her creativity and skill held great potential, but her business remained limited to nearby villages due to a lack of digital presence and professional guidance. Like many rural artisans, she needed the right tools to take her brand beyond the local market.

At the RAMP Boot Camp, organized by HPCED, Startup Himachal, and SkillLabs, Santosh was introduced to the power of digital tools for business growth. Her business was listed on Google My Business, making it easier for people to discover her crafts online. She was also trained on the Khatabook app to manage her income, sales, and expenses in a more organized way, laying the foundation for structured growth.
