Under the Raising & Accelerating MSMEs Performance (RAMP) Programme, an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) was conducted by SkillLabs on 27 February 2026 at Government ITI, Patta, with active participation from 34 students and 4 faculty members.
The workshop was designed to promote skill-based entrepreneurship among technical students and encourage them to view their vocational expertise as potential business opportunities. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including identifying market needs, developing structured business models, and transforming technical skills into viable enterprises.
A major focus of the session was on building an entrepreneurial mindset and understanding the MSME ecosystem. Students were guided on Udyam registration, government support schemes, financial linkages, and the importance of digital literacy in modern business growth. Practical discussions helped them understand how innovation, planning, and market awareness contribute to sustainable enterprise development.
Faculty members actively participated in the session, reinforcing the importance of integrating entrepreneurship within technical education frameworks. The interactive format enabled students to discuss startup challenges, funding opportunities, risk management, and scaling strategies.
The enthusiastic engagement reflected a growing inclination toward entrepreneurship within vocational institutions. Through such RAMP initiatives, SkillLabs continues to strengthen youth entrepreneurship, promote self-employment pathways, and align with government missions aimed at accelerating MSME performance and rural economic development.
