Nurturing Rural Entrepreneurship Through Pre-Incubation Support

SkillLabs Resource Services conducted a sensitisation workshop on the Rural Pre-Incubation Centre at Government Degree College, Chintpurni, Una, Himachal Pradesh, under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, an initiative of the Government of India, in association with the Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

The workshop brought together students and aspiring entrepreneurs to explore entrepreneurship as a career opportunity and understand how innovative ideas can be transformed into viable business ventures.

The session highlighted key aspects of the rural pre-incubation ecosystem, including:

• Entrepreneurship Awareness: Encouraging students to consider self-employment and enterprise creation as career pathways.
• Idea Development: Understanding how to identify problems, recognise business opportunities, and develop practical solutions.
• Pre-Incubation Support: Creating awareness about the guidance, resources, and institutional support available to aspiring entrepreneurs.
• Rural Enterprise Development: Exploring opportunities to establish sustainable businesses that contribute to local economic growth.

The interactive session encouraged students to think creatively, recognise entrepreneurial opportunities within their communities, and understand the importance of structured guidance when starting a business.

Through the Rural Pre-Incubation Centre initiative, SkillLabs Resource Services continues to promote entrepreneurial awareness among young people and strengthen the grassroots startup ecosystem in Himachal Pradesh.
