Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) at Barsar Region under Pre-Incubation Center, Govt. College Barsar

An Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) was conducted on 26 February 2026 in the Barsar region under the Pre-Incubation Center, Government College Barsar, engaging members of various Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

The session was specifically designed to empower SHG women by strengthening their entrepreneurial awareness and enhancing their capacity to build sustainable income-generating activities. Participants were guided on identifying locally viable business opportunities, improving product quality, pricing strategies, and exploring structured market linkages.

Special emphasis was placed on formalizing small-scale activities into structured enterprises through MSME registration, government scheme awareness, financial linkages, and digital literacy. The discussion focused on converting traditional skills and community-based production into scalable and market-ready ventures.

The interactive nature of the session allowed SHG members to openly discuss challenges related to raw material access, branding, packaging, funding, and expansion. Practical solutions and strategic guidance were shared to help them strengthen their business models and improve long-term sustainability.

The enthusiastic participation of SHG women reflected growing confidence and commitment toward entrepreneurship-led economic empowerment in the region. Through such initiatives, SkillLabs continues to support women-led enterprise development, strengthen rural livelihood ecosystems, and promote community-driven economic growth.
