SkillLabs Resource Services conducted an impactful Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) at Ghandwal under the Pre-Incubation Centre of Shri Vishnu SD College, Bhatoli (Una). The session was organized with the objective of strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship and supporting self-help groups in building sustainable income-generating ventures.
A key highlight of the programme was the launch of the Food Van initiative by the “Sombhadra Self Help Group”, marking an important milestone toward women-led enterprise development in the region. The initiative reflects the growing confidence and entrepreneurial spirit among SHG members who are stepping forward as micro-entrepreneurs.
During the session, participants were guided on practical aspects of entrepreneurship including identifying business opportunities, improving operational efficiency, branding, pricing strategies, and expanding market reach. Special emphasis was placed on strategies to grow their businesses sustainably, enhance customer engagement, and build a strong local presence. Awareness was also created about leveraging digital platforms and social media tools to increase visibility and scale operations.
The programme was further strengthened by the presence and interaction with the District Employment Officer, Mr. Akshay Sharma, who engaged with the participants and provided valuable insights into employment and enterprise support mechanisms available at the district level. His involvement reinforced institutional support for local entrepreneurship initiatives.
The session concluded with active discussions, encouraging SHG members to adopt structured planning, maintain quality standards, and explore new growth avenues. Through such initiatives, SkillLabs continues to promote women-led entrepreneurship, strengthen rural enterprise ecosystems, and support community-driven economic development.
