SkillLabs Resource Services successfully conducted an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on 19 February 2026 at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Bhoranj, District Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, under the Rural Pre-Incubation Centre initiative aligned with the Raising & Accelerating MSMEs Performance (RAMP) Programme, a Government of India initiative. The session aimed to promote entrepreneurial awareness among technical students and equip them with the knowledge required to transform skills into sustainable business opportunities.
The programme focused on encouraging ITI trainees to explore self-employment and startup pathways alongside traditional job opportunities. Students were guided on identifying viable business ideas based on their technical trades, understanding MSME registration processes, accessing government schemes and financial assistance, and developing a structured business approach. The session emphasized the importance of skill-based entrepreneurship, innovation at the grassroots level, and leveraging institutional support systems to build scalable enterprises.
The interactive engagement allowed students to discuss practical challenges such as funding, market access, risk management, and business planning. By connecting technical education with entrepreneurship opportunities, the session highlighted how vocational skills can become powerful tools for economic independence and job creation.
The strong participation and attentiveness of the students reflected growing interest in entrepreneurial thinking within technical institutions. Through initiatives like the EDP at ITI Bhoranj, SkillLabs continues to strengthen the rural startup ecosystem, support government-led MSME development missions, and foster a culture of innovation and self-reliance among youth.
SkillLabs remains committed to bridging the gap between skill training and enterprise creation by delivering structured entrepreneurship programs that empower students to become job creators rather than job seekers.
